One of the reasons I can’t get autumn off my mind is because everything starts back up in full force after Labor Day in New York. I have press previews and meetings early in the week and then fashion week starts on Thursday. It’s an exciting time in the city and there is an energy in the air as everyone returns from their summer vacations.
But the most important thing about fall are the fashions. I’ve already been shopping but I’ve put together a few more luxe outfit options from . I’ve never met a double-faced wool coat I didn’t like but I especially love this Fabiana Filippi. I also love it because it combines two of my favorite fall colors, taupe and charcoal. This would be a perfect transitional coat for cooler temperatures in New York or a great winter coat option for more temperate climates.
When I cleaned out and organized my closet recently, I had a big stack of grey sweaters but that doesn’t mean I don’t need one more. I love the texture on this

I have a few charity events to attend this fall so I need a few long dresses. I love that this would stand out in a sea of basic black dresses. I would also think about having it hemmed to knee length after wearing it to one event so I could more wear out of it over the winter.
