One of the reasons I can’t get autumn off my mind is because everything starts back up in full force after Labor Day in New York. I have press previews and meetings early in the week and then fashion week starts on Thursday. It’s an exciting time in the city and there is an energy in the air as everyone returns from their summer vacations.
But the most important thing about fall are the fashions. I’ve already been shopping but I’ve put together a few more luxe outfit options from
Nordstrom. We won’t get our store in NYC until 2019 so I’ll have to continue ordering online until then. Lucky for me, and you,
Nordstrom always offers free standard shipping and returns. It doesn’t get any easier. Happy shopping!
I’ve never met a double-faced wool coat I didn’t like but I especially love this
Hooded Flannel Coat by Fabiana Filippi. I also love it because it combines two of my favorite fall colors, taupe and charcoal. This would be a perfect transitional coat for cooler temperatures in New York or a great winter coat option for more temperate climates.
When I cleaned out and organized my closet recently, I had a big stack of grey sweaters but that doesn’t mean I don’t need one more. I love the texture on this
Jason Wu Cashmere & Wool Textured Sweater. It would look great with a pencil skirt or jeans.
I also had a huge stack of jeans in my closet but that won’t stop me from buying new pairs for fall. I love these from
Paige Denim because they can be dressed up or down.
They always say you shouldn’t buy into a trend if you wore it the first time it came around but I feel like
Gucci Loafers are exempt from this rule. I love that this classic shoe is back in fashion. I also wish these came in brown but black will have to suffice for now.
When I first saw this
Fendi Peekaboo Leather Satchel with Snakeskin Trim in a store, I swear I heard angels singing. Then I saw the price tag and feel right back to earth with a thud. I think it’s fun to have dream items on your wish list. You never know when a new job or client will fall in your lap and allow you to buy yourself a treat. Fingers crossed!
Everyone should have a chic black coat that can take them from day to evening for fall. I love this
Cole Haan Signature Drape Front Wrap Coat and it also comes in a gorgeous tan color too.
Another friend was wearing the most chic pair of Dior sunglasses this summer. I kind of want a pair now and these
Dior Reflected Sunglasses are at the top of my fashion forward wish list.
I have a few charity events to attend this fall so I need a few long dresses. I love that this
Burberry Elouise Snake Print Silk Maxi Dress would stand out in a sea of basic black dresses. I would also think about having it hemmed to knee length after wearing it to one event so I could more wear out of it over the winter.
There is nothing boring about this black
Jimmy Choo Tux Satin Clutch for evening. I love that it also has a gold disco chair if you want to go hands-free at a party.
I’m thinking of changing my perfume up for fall and while I haven’t smelled this
Tom Ford Vert D’Encens Eau de Parfum in person, the description sounds intriguing. “Aromatic, distinguished, wild. The unbridled nature of the Corsican coast, known as the perfumed isle, inspires a distinguished scent at once sophisticated, aromatic and wild. Smoky incense, pine resin and fir balsam evoke the dense forest and rugged peaks, while delectable heliotrope and woods heighten the grand atmosphere of sea and shadow.” Sounds good to me!
