As you know, I love visiting the flea markets in New York and Paris. I love searching for vintage treasures and antiques but I don’t have the time to go that often. (That’s my gallery wall of art above.) Now flea market style comes to me, and you, in the form of online estate sales on
Everything but the House.
Here’s how it works, anyone can contact
EBTH to sell a collection then their staff does all the work cataloging and photographing the items which are up for auction for seven days with a starting bid of $1. If you win, the item is shipped directly to you. Unlike a lot of online auction sites, you can always find great bargains.
As the name
Everything but the House suggests, the sales include everything for your home except the actual house. I’ve found great art, furniture, china, flatware, crystal, and even automobiles. I’ve seen vintage Mercedes Benz cars go for very low final bids.
To give you an idea of the inventory on
Everything but the House, I’ve put together a few of my favorite finds from this week’s auctions.
